Our MISSION

Disability Croydon / OURSPACE offers information, advice, advocacy and support to disabled people and people with mental health concerns, on issues which affect their daily lives.

Since developing to the Disability Croydon of today we have worked on numerous projects and initiatives to better the lives and increase opportunities for people who are isolated and excluded.

LATEST NEWS

OurSpace community hub is now open, we are here to provide a safe, warm space for you to socialise with friends and develop peer support networks.

Open six days a week with evening activities such as music production and physical exercises and one-one counselling.

We provide the following:
 

  • Information and advice / advocacy

  • Fitness and exercises for all ages using a fully equipped gym.

  • Digital training and empowerment using smartphones with access to computers.

  • Low-level mental health support (also connected to fitness programmes)

  • Art classes (therapy)

  • Weekly bereavement help point

  • Food distribution and support

  • Cost of living advice surgeries

  • Community Cafe open to all

  • Music production and DJ workshops for young people.

  • A welcoming space for the community to promote and develop their own activities.

FRIENDSHIP CLUBS

Weekly  drop in club  for people with disabilities, mental health, isolation and loneliness, to meet in a safe  supportive environment for socialising, support and having fun.
