Where Independence Matters to People With Disabilities

Croydon People First members meeting

Have Your Say!

A research project by DisabilityCroydon seeking the views of people with disabilities in Croydon.

What is "Have Your Say"?

"Have Your Say" is a research project which invites people with disabilities to be part of a panel to comment on what they think about important issues, for example access to public services. The project uses professional research methods.

Panel members are contacted in the way that suits them best. This might be, on audio tape or by telephone, via email, large print questionnaires or even face to face interviews and focus groups.

How does it work?

Panel members are contacted by a DisabilityCroydon representative on different issues about four times per year. The representatives collect information on a set of questions. The answers are collected and analysed to form a report. A copy of the report is sent to each panel member in their preferred format and to any specific organisation who requested the information, for example the council department or health service. A shorter version of the report is included in the Croydon Vision quarterly magazine which is distributed throughout the Croydon Borough.

How do I join "Have Your Say"?

Please contact us so that we can either arrange for one of our team to complete your answers on a registration and consent form which we would then like you to sign. Alternatively we can email the form to you, for you to complete and email back to us. Either way this gives us permission to contact you in the way you prefer and at the time you prefer. Registering means you agree to respond to consultations within two weeks of being asked.
